February 2 & February 9

Tackle Hunger in the Souper Bowl of Caring Event by donating canned soup and non-perishable food items on February 2 and 9. This is an annual event when our church comes together to tackle hunger locally. Let’s make this year’s Souper Bowl of Caring the most successful one yet!

Collected donations will go to the Hope in Hand Food Pantry.

February 5 7:00-8:00 am

All men of the church are invited to join us for our next Men’s Breakfast on Wednesday, February 5 at the church in room 140. Come for delicious homemade food, fellowship, and a brief devotional. Breakfast begins at 7:00 am and we’re finished by 8:00 am. Hope to see you there! 

February 28 - March 2

Join us for our annual First Rowlett Women’s Retreat on February 28-March 2. This year we are focusing on Sacred Rest as a means of experiencing God's presence, love, and healing grace for body, mind, and soul. We welcome Rev. Tami Galloway as our speaker for the weekend. Rev. Tami is an ordained UMC Elder and Spiritual Director and has a passion for teaching contemplative prayer practices while helping others deepen their relationship with God.

Additionally, we welcome Elizah Vasquez to lead us in worship for our retreat. Elizah is a long-time member of First Rowlett and a passionate worship leader. We hope you can join us for an important time to reflect, Rest, grow, and connect with other women of First Rowlett UMC.

We will be staying at Prothro Center at Lake Texoma again this year. The cost is $190 per person (triple occupancy) and includes all meals. Single rooms are available for an additional $50. The deadline to register is February 13.
