Don Shelley, Director of Worship Ministries
Don Shelley serves as the Director of Worship Ministries at First Rowlett. He is the coordinator for all three Sunday morning worship services, where he directs the Sanctuary Choir, Adult Handbells, and plays keyboards in contemporary worship. He is the coordinator for the worship instrumentalists, praise team, sound team, children's choirs, and all worship volunteers. Don married wife Sandy in 1984 and they have two adult children, Sarah and her husband Roland, and Scott and his wife Shelby. Don and Sandy have three beautiful grandchildren, Adia, Roland V, and Harper. Don received his Bachelor of Music degree from Southwest Texas State University and received his Master of Music Education degree from the University of North Texas. He is a past Vice-President for the Texas Choral Directors Association.

Sandy Shelley, Accompanist
Sandy Shelley is the accompanist for the Adult Choir and plays in the Handbell Choir. She is a retired middle school choir director who worked with 5th – 8th graders for over 30 years. She enjoys traveling around the state to clinic choirs and judge at music contests. Sandy is married to Don Shelley, and they have two grown children and three grandchildren.

Paul Bright, Organist
Paul Bright has served as our church organist since January 2005. Paul attended Baylor University where he received Bachelor of Music Education and Master Music degrees. Paul has been a choral director for 26 years and is currently the choir director at Wakeland High School in Frisco, TX. Paul has four children and 3 grandchildren.

Amanda Hock, Youth Choir
Amanda Hock is a graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana where she was an active participant in their choir, camera choir, and orchestra. Upon graduation, she began teaching K3-8th at a local private school. She also spent some time working in children and high school youth ministry before she finally made her way to Texas. She currently is one of the choir directors at Poteet High School and is loving being in Texas. She is very excited for the opportunity to work with the youth choir to share her love and passion for music.

Nancy Farrell, Cross & Fire Choir
Nancy Farrell was born and raised in Wisconsin and began working with Children’s Choirs while still in college. Having moved around quite a bit due to husband Brian’s job, she has also conducted children’s choirs in Ohio, Georgia, and Texas. She is retired from a 29-year career teaching choir/music. Brian and Nancy have a son, Christopher, and a daughter-in-love, Annie, who live in Lindale and are both wildlife biologists. She enjoys making a joyful noise with the children of First Rowlett UMC.
