Director of Communications and Welcome Ministry

Job Description

At First Rowlett United Methodist Church our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. The Director of Communications will lead in setting the direction as well as the strategic implementation of all internal and external communications to consistently articulate, enable, and fulfill First Rowlett's mission and vision. This individual will be a creative, innovative, and strategic thinker and a results-driven team leader.

The Director of Communications will create, organize, plan, and implement effective communications, messages, and strategies for/with church and community audiences. The individual will oversee the church website as well as maintain a presence on social media; handle internal church communication boards, signs, and newsletters, liaison guest communication and new member communication. 

This is a part-time position.

  • Strong writing skills with ability to craft announcements, social media posts, and other key communication pieces
