We are passionate about leading middle and high school students to love God with their whole hearts and be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives. It's our goal to equip middle and high school students to live lives that honor and reflect Christ so that they might reach others for His glory. Through Bible studies, worship services, regular teaching, small groups, service projects and special events, we point students toward the love of the Father and guide them to understanding the huge plan God has for their lives.

Small Groups

The heart of our youth ministry is in the smaller groups that meet on Sunday mornings and evenings.

At 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings, all grades meet together in the Assembly area of the Lighthouse, then divide into Life Groups which are divided by age group.

On Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m.,  we divide into age groups for small group discussions.

Youth Praise Band

Our praise band leads worship with today's best music. Guitars, keyboard, drums and vocalists are open to 7th-12 grade students. Practice is on Sundays at 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. in the Lighthouse.

Youth Choir

Youth Choir is for 7th-12th graders who are interested in singing, regardless of previous experience or school choir background. We sing at Sunday morning church services once per month, perform in the Dallas area for veterans and older adults, and plan for our annual summer tour. Past tours have taken us to Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas and Missouri.

Rehearsals are on Sunday evenings from 5-6 p.m during the school year when there are other youth activities.

Sixth grade students participate in a traditional, year-long Confirmation program. This program takes place during Life Groups at 9:45 a.m. on Sundays. It is a fun, interactive program where students learn the basics of Christian faith as well as United Methodist history and tradition. They are taken to various churches on Sunday mornings so that they may experience different faith practices (i.e. Jewish, Roman Catholic, Orthodox, and African American Baptist churches). During Sunday evenings the Confirmands will be participating in mission projects around the church and community. The summer following their Confirmation will be the time in which they will join the youth program, engaging in all the summer activities we have to offer.

Sundays: 9:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the Lighthouse
