Care Ministries

These are a few of the ministries that are led by members of our congregation for people with individual needs.

Prayer Ministry

We are a group of Christians who believe in the power of prayer. We have a group of committed members who gather weekly to pray over each request that we receive. If you or someone you love is in need of prayers, fill out the prayer request form.

Congregational Care Ministers

In addition to our pastoral staff, we have a group of trained lay people who are assigned to the members of our congregation who may be in need of special care in times of illness, divorce, unemployment, death of a loved one or any other family crisis.

Contact the church office or Joy Boutakov, our Congregational Care Coordinator, if you or someone you know someone who may be in need.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

We have a group of folks who meet weekly to knit, crochet, and pray over special prayer shawls that are distributed to shut-ins, newborns, or anyone who is in need of special attention by our church. If you know of someone who is in need of one of  these special prayer shawls, you can request one by completing the yellow request forms found in the attendance books, on the table outside the library, or found in the back of the Coyle chapel during the Wednesday night healing services. Place the form in the offering plate or in the Prayer Shawl request box on the table outside the library. Additionally, you can call the church office to request a shawl or turn in your request form there.

If you would like to join the group or even learn how to knit or crochet, come by room 178 on Wednesdays from 5-7 p.m.

If you have any questions, contact Robin Corser.

Mastectomy Pillows

This ministry makes pillows for those who have undergone a mastectomy. Most of us know someone who may have had this procedure and deserve the love that these carefully make pillow demonstrate. Contact Patti Niemeyer if you know someone who would benefit from one of these of if you would like to get involved in this ministry.
