The work of the First Rowlett Vision Committee that began in August 2009 resulted in three strategic initiatives - the Master Plan Initiative, the Discipleship Initiative, and the Mission Initiative. The Mission Vision Project Task Force was appointed to do intensive analysis of the community's needs with an emphasis on helping children move out of the cycle of poverty. They prayerfully and diligently fulfilled the task. The MVP report and recommendations were approved at the Church Council meeting on May 22, 2012. The recommendations address Christ's call for us to love our neighbors, to be in ministry with the poor, and to reach outside the walls of the church into the community.
