Rev. Wes Magruder, D.Min. is Associate Pastor at FUMC Rowlett. Most recently, he served as a commissioned missionary of the General Board of Global Ministries, assigned to serve in Yaounde, Cameroon, West Africa as the Director of the United Methodist Mission in Cameroon.
Wes was born in Dallas, Texas, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/TV/Film from Cal State Long Beach in Long Beach, California. In 1996 he earned his Masters of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and continued his graduate studies at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas and earned his Doctorate of Ministry in Homiletics in 2004.
Dr. Magruder served in the Chislehurst Circuit of the British Methodist Church from 1996-1998. He has been senior pastor at Valley View UMC and Trailwood UMC, both in the North Texas Annual Conference.
Wes and wife Leah are the parents of three children: Rachel Christine, born in 1994, Chloe Nicole, born in 1996, and Mallory Catherine, born in 1999.
